Our History
The Deerpark Inn, formerly The Chestnut Tree, was bought and renovated by Chef Richard Corrigan in 2019. Today, it serves as a landmark destination in Virginia for locals and visitors, offering a comfortable and stylish setting to enjoy a bite to eat and a glass of something, as well as spend the night in one of the bespoke ensuite bedrooms.
Farm to Fork
A sister venue to Richard Corrigan’s Virginia Park Lodge, the Deerpark Inn celebrates the finest seasonal ingredients, many of which are sourced directly from the Lodge’s working gardens. The menu showcases elevated takes on pub classics, such as Richard’s Deerpark Pork, our very own heritage Plum Pudding Pigs that are reared on the estate grounds. Seasonal produce from the gardens includes staples like garlic, kale, onions, carrots and potatoes, along with fresh seasonal specialties like rhubarb and berries, found garnished on our soft serve ice cream.

Virginia Park Lodge
Virginia Park Lodge is a historic Irish country house and estate, dating back to 1750. Originally built by the Taylour family and Lord Headfort as a hunting lodge and private residence with gardens, it has been beautifully restored over the past decade by Richard Corrigan, who fell in love with the estate after marrying his wife there.
The Lodge is the epitome of timeless elegance, offering a warm, homely ambiance enriched with eclectic art, historic antiques and furniture and fabrics from Robert Kime. Steeped in history, this unique 18th-century hunting lodge and private estate is set across 100 acres of breathtaking grounds, nestled within Deerpark Forest and Loch Ramor.

Deerpark Forest
Step away from it all and reconnect with nature. Just a 5-minute walk from the Inn and its namesake, Deerpark Forest offers a serene escape with lush woodlands, peaceful trails, scenic lake views and the chance to encounter local wildlife.
